About
The park, named after the Aboriginal word ‘Mirambeena,’ meaning ‘Land of Frogs,’ has served as inspiration for a range of sculptural elements that enhance the play experience and ignite enthusiasm among children and families. This space functions as a versatile framework for children and caregivers to embark on journeys of exploration and discovery. It features a wide array of active play elements, including a flying fox, combination play units, spacenets, embankment slides, and various types of swings. Additionally, there are cubby houses, sound-activated features, intricate labyrinths, lush forests, and bridges spanning ephemeral rocky swales—all interconnected to promote and facilitate exploratory play.

This naturalistic playspace prioritizes accessibility, making it a cherished destination not only for local families within the City of Glen Eira but also drawing visitors from farther afield. Its outstanding design and appeal have garnered numerous awards and widespread acclaim, solidifying its status as a celebrated and recognized project.
