About
This design stands out for its profound significance, as it harmoniously weaves together cultural heritage, ecological sensitivity, and inclusive play. Drawing inspiration from the park’s cultural heritage and the rich surrounding flora and fauna, it is a testament to thoughtful and sustainable landscape architecture.

The inclusion of all-abilities access to natural and structured play elements showcases a commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that everyone, regardless of physical abilities, can participate in the joy of play. Leveraging the site’s existing topography and native bushland, the design seamlessly integrates with the natural environment, fostering a sense of connection and respect for nature.

Sinuous pathways, rockwork seating, and native vegetation create an inviting and shaded environment, encouraging physical activity and imaginative play. Artistic elements, such as vegetable sculptures and the giant platypus, add whimsy and cultural depth to the space.

Moreover, the wheelchair-accessible sandpit, informative maze, sound elements, and diverse play structures provide a wealth of engaging experiences for children and families. The tree sculpture with an accessible nest offers panoramic views across the park, elevating the play experience.

In essence, this design transcends the typical playground; it is a testament to inclusivity, cultural heritage, and ecological stewardship, making it a significant and inspiring community asset.
